Honeywell Scanning & Mobility (HSM) is an affiliation of the Automation and Control Solutions group under Honeywell International. HSM was founded in July 2008 after Honeywell International acquired Metrologic Instruments, an industry-leading data capture and collection company, and integrated it with Hand Held Products, another advanced manufacturer of imaging and mobility solutions that Honeywell acquired the previous year.
Today, HSM is a leading manufacturer of high-performance image-and laser-based data collection hardware, including rugged mobile computers and bar code scanners. The HSM product portfolio is one of the broadest in the AIDC industry, providing solutions for vertical markets such as retail, manufacturing, healthcare, transportation and logistics.
